This Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice supplements the information in the Edvisors Privacy Policy. This supplemental Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (“Notice”) explains our practices for “Consumer Health Data” as such term is defined by applicable laws including Washington’s My Health My Data Act (“MHMDA”), Nevada’s Consumer Health Data Privacy Law (“NV CHDP”), Connecticut’s Data Privacy Act, and other U.S. consumer health privacy laws (excluding laws regulating health information in an insurance or healthcare context such as HIPAA), as each are amended and as and when they become effective including any regulations thereunder (“U.S. Health Privacy Laws”).
“Consumer Health Data” is a type of personal information that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health status. This Notice describes what Consumer Health Data we collect, how we collect and use it, who we disclose it to and why, and the choices you may have regarding our use or disclosure of your Consumer Health Data. This Notice only applies to Consumer Health Data protected by U.S. Health Privacy Laws.
This Notice does not apply to any personal information other than Consumer Health Data subject to the prior mentioned States. Consumer Health Data does not include information generated by your interactions with us, such as browsing our website, that does not provide information which could reasonably be used to identify your health status.

As provided in our “How We Collect Personal Information” section of the Privacy Policy , we collect Consumer Health Data directly from you, from your interactions with our Services through articles, surveys, applying for Scholarships, or in connection with other promotions or marketing activities.
In general, Edvisors uses Consumer Health Data for the following purposes:
Marketing and advertising. As permitted under applicable law, we use your Consumer Health Data to enable you to voluntarily participate in Edvisors Services such as promotions, surveys, polls, and sweepstakes.
Customization and personalization. Providing You with Personalized Recommendations. If you choose to complete surveys or enter certain health-related promotions or Scholarships, we may use your Consumer Health Data to send you personalized promotions or scholarship recommendations and other information that may be of interest to you.
Sharing with Third Parties. We may share or sell your Consumer Health Data, as permitted by U.S. Health Privacy Laws, with third parties as explained below.
Business Analytics. We may use your Consumer Health Data to perform analytics that help us better understand our business, the consumers we serve, and how to improve our operations and marketing efforts.
As Otherwise Disclosed to You or with Your Consent. We may also use Consumer Health Data you provide to us for other purposes as disclosed at the time you provide your information or otherwise with your consent.
As defined by U.S. Health Privacy Laws, we share Consumer Health Data with the categories of third parties listed below. We will obtain your consent before sharing your Consumer Health Data.
Third Parties Pursuant to Legal Process. We may share your Consumer Health Data to the extent necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; in response to a request for cooperation from law enforcement or a government agency; or to otherwise comply with our other legal and regulatory obligations.
Other Third Parties. We may share your Consumer Health Data when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, including to allow us to pursue available remedies and limit the damage we may sustain.
