Work-study is a federal financial aid program that arranges for students with financial needs to work on (and sometimes off) campus as a way to earn their financial aid. Work-study programs can be a great way to minimize the amount of money needed to borrow to attend school and graduate with less student loan debt. Which also means you likely won’t be able to use your Work-study funds to pay your tuition, but it can be used to help cover other educations costs, like books, supplies, food, or transportation.
