FICO® scores 670 or higher is when you are considered to have good credit, while scores higher than 740 putting you in the very good range and anything over 800 is considered Excellent. Two of the most commonly used scales to measure credit scores are FICO® and Vantage Scores both with a scale that runs from 300-850. The lower your score, the greater of a credit risk you are to lenders. The higher your score, the lower you are as a risk. With higher scores, you’re also more likely to be approved for credit and qualify for better interest rates.
